Winters and wedding season go hand in hand and there are multiple ways in which one can dress up looking exquisite and staying cosy in the wedding outfits. How to Stay Warm & Fashionable at an Indian Wedding During Winters

1. Glam it up in Velvet: A hit during winter weddings is the plush and rich velvet fabric. Not only will it help you stay cosy and snuggly at a wedding function but will also give a royal touch to your outfit. You can pair your lehenga with a velvet blouse or drape an elegant velvet shawl which you can team it with your saree.

2. All About Layers: No, we are not talking about woollen sweaters or puffy jackets. You can wear a chic embroidered jacket that can be paired with multiple styles. A jacket can go with a sharara, anarkali, skirts and even sarees. And it will also give a western appeal to your Indian attire if worn appropriately.

3. Rock the Full Sleeves: To make a stylish statement you do not have to expose your belly or your arms. Wear full-sleeves embellished blouse with a lehenga or a saree and you are good to go for a winter wedding.

4. Light Inners or Warmers: These are much better than the bulky outwear. Wear thermal pants or top from within and then wear your outfit. This will help you stay warm and you won’t be quivering from the inside.

5. Closed Footwear: Feet are most likely to get numb during winters. While men have an option of wearing socks under their shoes, but for ladies, socks under sandals will be a fashion faux pas at its best. Select closed footwear like peep-toes or pointed heels or juttis to go with your traditional attire.

So, if you were going to ditch the next wedding because you were worried how will you survive the chilly weather, now you know. You can always mix and match outfits and create a new one. As for the bride, styling your traditional lehenga with two dupattas will also keep her warm. Accessorise well and opt for elegant makeup and you are all set for the big fat Indian wedding in winters.
