You’ve booked your venue and your dress is a dream. The menu is set to please palates and all your favourite people are going to be there. But what else can you do to add that extra bit of magic to one of the most important days of your life? Whether money is no object or you’re on a shoestring budget, there are many ways in which you can make your wedding unforgettable.

Big Spender

If you have a generous budget, anything is possible. If your wedding is likely to be a boozy affair, you could give hangover kits to your guests as they leave after having a hedonistic time at the tequila fountain.

If the big day is during summer, why not rent an ice-cream machine so that everyone has an ice-cream cone while dancing. You could also have a fruit table and provide baskets for guests to help themselves as they leave.

Everyone will probably take pictures on their phones, but a Polaroid photo booth with a selection of props can add a fun dimension to capturing the magic of the big day. Think funny glasses, placards with “team bride” or“team groom”, butterfly wings, and silly wigs.

Personal Touches

A small to medium-sized budget can buy you wine or water served in bottles with customised labels. There are many companies online that can provide this service.Balloons can also add magic to your wedding.

Tie helium-filled balloons to the chairs and use letter-shaped balloons with the word “love” (or anything else— you’re allowed to be corny!)hovering above the couple’s table.

Another memorable touch is to ask your guests to make a song request with their RSVP so that everyone gets to hear their favourite tune.

Professional wedding photography is a must have for many couples, but you can also bring in an artist to live paint your wedding.

Ask your friends and family to write on postcards and place them in a bowl. They can share a memory of the two of you, or provide suggestions for you to pursue as a couple.

Almost everyone is on social media, so don’t forget to come up with a fun wedding hashtag. You can add a socially responsible twist to your happy day if that’s your vibe: ask your friends and loved ones to donate to a charity or cause in lieu of a gift registry.

Don’t forget the kids

Weddings tend to be adult-oriented when it comes to food and entertainment and many people prefer to attend weddings without their children. But this is the 21st century and a lot of couples already have children when they marry.

You can make your wedding child-friendly by having a separate table or tables for children, with crayons and paper for colouring in. You could also throw in a jumping castle, if your venue allows it. It’s thoughtful to ensure that your big day also has its own special place in the memories of your younger guests.

Leaked Depositions Paint Very Disturbing Picture Of Johnny Depp And Amber Heard’s Marriage – The Daily Caller

Leaked depositions from Amber Heard’s and Johnny Depp’s divorce paint a very scary picture about the former Hollywood couple’s relationship.

Heard, who divorced Johnny Depp in 2016, offered an extensive testimony and a glimpse inside what it was like to date the tumultuous actor. She alleged that they had a name for Depp’s violent “alter ego,” saying she was “petrified” of “the Monster” in Depp when it came out. The testimony, which comes from an August 13, 2016 hearing and was subsequently obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, claims Depp hurled blunt objects at Heard and she feared for her life.

“Johnny and I refer to his other personality — the part of him that is present when he beats me up — we call that ‘the Monster’ and have called [that] the Monster for many years,” Heard recollected, adding, “I was petrified of the Monster.”

Also in the claim, Heard mentions that Depp hurled his cell phone at her as hard as he could during an altercation in May 2016, directly hitting her in the face. He then allegedly grabbed her by the hair until she screamed for help, then “broke a lot of glass things that left glass on the floor,” including silver candlesticks and a lamp, which were strewn on the floor.

At that point, Heard’s close friend Raquel Pennington arrived at the couple’s apartment. Pennington claims she heard Depp screaming and, when she entered the penthouse, she saw Depp “swinging around” a massive bottle of wine. He was knocking things off shelves, and when his screaming became loud enough for his security team to hear, they intervened and convinced him to leave the scene.

What’s more, Pennington remembered taking “dozens of photos” of Heard’s bruises — allegedly sustained by Johnny Depp — and she claims she took one that night.

Some photos of Heard’s bruises circulated around social media at the time of the couple’s relationship:

Police officers who arrived on scene that night, however, tell a different story.

Officer Melissa Saenz claims Heard refused to give her name and had no visible signs of injury on her face or otherwise. Saenz also claims, upon inspection, there was no broken glass in the apartment. Saenz claims that after thorough questioning there was no reason to believe a crime had been committed.

The other responding officer, Tyler Hadden, corroborated these claims.

Heard simply said she refused to answer any questions, per the advice of her lawyer.

And Pennington, on the other hand, claims the officers offered to “go arrest him right now,” but neither officer claims an offer was ever made.

Flash forward to present-day. Heard and Depp are now divorced and agreed not to talk about their marriage or make negative statements about the other. Since then, Heard has spoken up about domestic abuse several times, even writing an op-ed in the Washington Post recounting her experience with the subject.

Depp’s lawyer denounced the op-ed as “an abuse of the #metoo movement.” He continues to deny any such allegations of abuse.

This remains one of the messiest celebrity divorces of the 21st century. And it sounds like it’s far from being over.

Mum has ‘confidence crisis’ after teen daughter says her wedding dress ‘looks like something from the 80s’ – The Sun

FINDING your perfect wedding dress is never an easy task.

But as one woman recently learnt, it’s a whole lot more difficult when you also want to get the approval of a 14-year-old.

One woman took to Mumsnet to ask for advice on her choice of wedding dress

Over on Mumsnet, the woman shared a photo of herself in a dress that she’d picked out for her upcoming nuptials.

The mini – which she’d bought from Needle and Thread – featured frill detailing, sheer arms and pretty appliqué flowers.

Explaining that she was 47 and marrying for the second time, she wrote: “Getting married in three weeks, low key affair. Just the four kids and the two of us in a registry office.

“Bought a dress I love but 14-year-old daughter has said she hates it and I look like something from the 80s.”

The woman admitted that her daughter’s revelation had thrown her, continuing: “[It] has given me a crisis of confidence and thinking maybe this is the wrong choice!”

To add to her confusion, the dress really seemed to divide opinion among Mumsnet users.

Many thought it was a lovely choice, with comments including: “I love it, it’s gorgeous!” and: “I think it’s fabulous and really different.”

However, others weren’t so sure.

One person wrote: “Sorry I do not think it looks good on you at all, might be a lovely dress but it does nothing for you. I am so sorry to be saying this but it is not a good look.”

Another said: “I’m not keen but it’s your day and your dress you don’t need to please anyone but yourself.”

A few days later, the mum revealed that she'd picked a new dress

Some shared links to alternative dresses – which actually led the mum to order a second frock.

A few days later, she revealed that she’d settled on an entirely different piece, explaining: “Thank you all for the advice and impartial views. [I] have today tried a few of the styles suggested.

“Particular thanks to @FenellaMaxwellsPony. Your ASOS silver bridesmaid suggestion was delivered today and had the seal of approval from the 14-year-old – and I love it, so sold!”

Happily, it seems as though she made the right choice. After her big day, she wrote on the thread: “It was fantastic… Wedding dress was lovely after all the advice.”

We’re sure she would have looked gorgeous in either design, but it’s great that she found a piece she felt completely comfortable with.

Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer is selling a khaki leopard print jumpsuit for £45 – and it’s set to be MORE popular than the polka dot version.
